BG Site competition is one of the most prestigious competitions for web in Bulgaria and this year is its 13th edition.

Initiator of the idea and organizer of the competition and the web seminar for the period from 1999 to 2003 is ABC Design & Communication. From 2000 till 2008 a partner of BG site is M3 Communications Group Inc. Since 2009 organizer of the competition is the newly established BG site foundation.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in November 2012.

The candidates have registered their sites into 13 categories which are :

Online shop
Cause, event, community
Corporate web site
Private blog/web site
Media
Education, science and culture
Online services
Public administration and NGO
Startup
Positioning and brand recognition
Launch of a new brand/product
Experimental and innovative campaign

The jury`s evaluation will be publicly announced after the end of the competition.
It is made by a jury composed of experts and managers of leading sites or companies, associated with business, professionals from the web ground, representatives of business, NGOs, opinion leaders.

The evaluation is based on the following criteria: content, design, functionality, technical performance, originality.

The web seminar is a traditional forum, unique for Bulgaria when it comes to themes and public. As an accompanying event to the BG site competition, the seminar is really interesting for the branch, advertising agencies, media and customers.
The aim of the web seminar is to present and discuss the actual Internet application, to show the problems and the prospects; to show the best achievements and create networking atmosphere. The newest tendencies in web projects development will be discussed and new communication, hosting and online solutions will be given.
The visitors of the Web seminar are one of the most innovative professionals in Bulgaria in the IT section, representatives of the specialized and mass media, managers of leading IT companies and customers.
The lecturers are representatives of leading companies and specialists in different sections graphic design, Internet marketing and advertising, web programming and so on.
As a part of the seminar a new initiative will be held. It is focused on the young people no older than 20 years age, involved in Web. The aim is they to be presented in front of the biggest companies and to create an opportunity for future career development.
